oh hey!

I’m Dani Attanasio

And in case you’ve been wondering, it’s “AT TEN NASS EEYO” (I think). I was born and raised in Nebraska and met my husband in the 3rd grade. He was the cute, shy, Italian kid so I chased him down and we’ve been married since 2008. Together we’ve got 3 kids and a cat. I love summer nights, macrame, cold brew, traveling, attempting dahlia gardening, RV campers, indian food, estate sales, and taking naps. I’m always open to adventure, but also sweatpants.

I’ve been doing portrait and wedding photography since 2008. But it began sometime when I was young. I fell in love with LIGHT and all of it’s magic and I’ve always been hyper aware of the mood it creates. Early high school ushered in the world of disposable cameras, and later a chance to explore film photography (yearbook nerd right here) and darkroom developing. The passion grew as I found out this awkward, introverted girl could connect with other humans because of the camera. I love seeing the layers peel back as they grow more comfortable and we both get to trust each other, and trust the process.

Wedding photography grew to become my niche when I received my own wedding photos back. I got to witness the stories that came to life through a collection of moments that I had forgotten or missed because the day breezed past us. The emotion, the details, the humans I love a whole lot and interactions they shared. The day just as it was. As a wedding photographer, I try to make it my goal to be a glorified “noticer” of those behind-the-scenes moments that culminate into treasured photographs. At the same time I want to help you soak up those memories when you’re in them. I want you to think of me as someone you trust; who will offer direction but let you tell it your way, and as someone who values the things that matter; connection, love, art and light, all rolled into one.

It’s an honor to step into your world and bear witness to it all.
